I have written once about these great doggie treats and just decided that it was time to write about them again. These treats are excellent with a grain free version available as well.
But the story behind these treats is a very dear tale. The owner of the Waggin’ Tails Treats made these treats for her dog Willow who was much loved but she was diagnosed with incurable cancer. She had a mass in a very bad area and she needed to have a biopsy right away. This was in 2001. So the news was that Willow had a very aggressive type of cancer and so had to have surgery and they removed as much of the mass that they could and offered no hope what so ever.
The next few days were just horrible. So Willow’s owner went to work, learned about dog food, contacted a doctor of Chinese Medicine and she put Willow on three types of herbs.
Then she started making the liver cookies of love to coax her to eat. It really helped her to feel like she was doing something loving to help Willow.
And as of March, 2008, Willow just turned 14 and is a six year cancer survivor. And she is still dancing for her cookies.
The cookies are probably not a cure for cancer but I myself can promise you that the dogs will love them. My dog Ande hardly eats anything including people food, and she gobbles these treats right up.
They are Hormone and antibiotic free USDA chicken liver, rice flour, farm fresh eggs, filtered water, ground flax seed and garlic powder. And they are all baked at their very own bakery.
