For those of you who may not have seen a roadrunner, here are a few pictures of one of our roadrunner buddies that lives here in the winters on our patio. Her name is Spike, and she spends her nights perched on our patio light. And here are some of her friends.....they may even be her children......we aren't quite sure, but they hang around here a lot.

No problem....I love showing them off....they are like my extended family. I just love them, and worry when they aren't around for a day or two.

Forgot to mention that I have more pics of Spike.....I'll put them up if I ever locate them. She likes to drink from one of the bird baths that we have. She is really very friendly.....not very afraid of humans. She lets me get really close to her. She also has a habit of tapping on the windows with her beak. I think she wants to come in the house....and in this heat I can't blame her at all.
